Ortovox Safety Session- Avalanche Terrain & Tour Planning Clinic

Join the Lone Pine team in collaboration with Ortovox on Thursday, January 22 at 7:30 for an avalanche terrain and tour planning clinic. 

In this unique, hands-on clinic from ORTOVOX, participants utilize ORTOVOX’s Safety Academy 3D Mountain model (SAM3D) as an interactive learning tool to simulate avalanche terrain and tour planning. Participants learn how to identify avalanche terrain, interpret an avalanche forecast, apply the forecast to their mountain model, and in the end will draw and explain their route on the model.  

Due to the hands-on nature of this clinic, attendance is capped at 30 participants. We ask that if you purchase a ticket, and cannot attend, to let us know ASAP so we can give someone else your spot.


Anticipate the event running for 2 hours.
